Poster For The Girl Who Played With Fire
The Girl Who Played With Fire is the second in Stieg Larsson's Millenium novels, starting with the outrageously popular The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and wrapping up the trilogy with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. The books have already been adapted into films in Sweden, and little by little they are finding their way over to the states.
Having just seen The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, I can tell you that you should put these films on your most anticipated list. Dragon was gripping, well told, and beautifully shot albeit grizzly to a Fincheresque degree. That will probably come in handy for the American remake, which David Fincher is directing later this year. In the meantime the Swedish originals are getting a pretty limited release in the States, so you'll have to keep a careful eye out for it. Love Film got their hands on this new poster for part two in the series which is coming to UK cinemas August 7th, so start looking for it on this side of the pond soon after. Check out the image below, then go see if you can't find a theater showing Dragon Tattoo. I promise, it's worth it. ![]() |
