When you have two people as beautiful as Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in your movie, you need to show them off in the poster. I might even go as far as to say that floating heads are excusable. As stunning as they may be, however, it's not an excuse to make them the only feature. In marketing they may call it "understating," but in real terms we call it "boring as hell."

Sony has sent over the first one-sheet for Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's The Tourist and while Jolie and Depp look nice and pretty, more than half of the poster is dead space. We're talking about a film set in the heart of Italy, and they give us faces, white and words? Also, this is supposed to be a thriller - personally, I don't feel thrilled.
