New Poster For Tim Burton's Frankenweenie Arrives Online
Though Tim Burton hasn't exactly impressed me thus far this year (I'm still amazed by how bad Dark Shadows turned out to be), I'm still excited for Frankenweenie, the filmmakers latest stop-motion animated film based on a short that he directed back in 1984. The movie isn't due out until October, but we've already seen quite a bit from the movie, including a trailer, a poster, and multiple behind-the-scenes images and stills. Today we have a brand spanking new poster to add to the collection.
Set over from Disney, the new artwork for the kiddy-horror film can be seen below and you can click on it to see it in high-res over in our database.
Based on a script by John August (Big Fish, Go), Frankenweenie tells the story of a young boy named Victor who is best friends with his dog, Sparky. One day, however, there is a tragic accident and Sparky is killed, leaving Victor inconsolable. As part of a class assignment, the protagonist then tries to harness the power of lightning to bring Sparky back to life and is successful...but at what cost? The film features the voice talents of Charlie Tahan, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Winona Ryder and Christopher Lee. There's a very good chance that a new trailer will pop online soon, but until then to see more from the new Burton movie head over to our Blend Film Database.
