Already tired of the mopey, lovey-dovey vampires of Twilight? Ready to get back to the good-old bloodsuckers of old, who are only interested in humans as their next meal? Well has Scott Charles Stewart got the movie for you. The newbie director has signed on to Priest, an adaptation of the "horror Western" comic book about a world ravaged by battles between humans and vampires. Yes! There will be blood, indeed!

The Hollywood Reporter notes that the project almost came together a few years back, with Gerard Butler set to star. If they're working with the same budget this time around, I imagine Butler is out-- he's by far a bigger star now than he was back then. But still, this doesn't sound like the kind of movie that needs a big star to be good-- just some fake blood and awesome vampire effects, man. Show those Twilight wimps who's really boss.
