Am I the only one who’s worried about The Princess and the Frog? I love the idea of resurrecting great, 2D Disney animation but it just seems like there’s not enough here, visually at least, to do it. Most of the animation we’ve seen so far hasn’t been that impressive, barely better than Disney’s direct-to-video junk.

Hopefully there’s more to see. Tonight for instance Disney has released four new Princess and the Frog images. They’re a mixed bag. The first photo below is actually quite stunning, a gorgeous shot of our two froggy lovers dancing among the lights of the swap, evoking memories of the brilliantly beautiful “Kiss the Girl” musical number from The Little Mermaid. Then there’s the rest of the photos, which look like leftover footage from The Rescuers Down Under. Take a look:
