The not-so-anticipated Jim Carrey Fun With Dick and Jane may be in trouble. According to a source for Dark Horizons, the film is headed for massive reshoots.

A few last-minute reshoots aren’t that uncommon really, but Fun With Dick and Jane seems to be going to a whole other level. According to DH, the film has had over 60 pages of rewrites done to the script (this is after the thing has already been shot and completed mind you), and they’ll be spending 5 weeks to shoot them. 5 weeks?? For some film’s that’s their entire shooting schedule. For Fun With Dick and Jane, a movie that’s already spent 114 days shooting I guess it’s just a drop in the bucket.

The movie is currently scheduled for December release, but let’s see if that holds up. Early test screening reports of the film weren’t actually that bad, so you’ve got to wonder what precipitated this. DH suggests that the studio wants “more Jim Carrey over the top” stuff, which could be a good thing or a bad thing I guess.
