If I were forming an all star team of people trying to escape their silly nicknames, The Rock would play center, Puff Daddy would be my point guard. Scuse me, I think I’m supposed to call him Sean Combs.

Sean Diddy is working on building up his acting cred, and he’s got another gig coming up. HR says he’s been cast in the Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off movie Get Him to the Greek along with Rose Byrne and Elisabeth Moss. The movie’s a comedy starring Russell Brand re-playing the same rocker character he portrayed in Sarah Marshall, you know the one that’s basically himself.

The movie follows Jonah Hill as an intern hired to control a maniac rockster (Brand). Moss will be the movie’s female lead, Jonah’s repressed girlfriend. Puffy plays his boss while Rose Byrne is a “Courtney Love-type rocker” and Russell Brand’s ex.

UPDATE! The guys over at Moviehole wisely point out that at one point Emily Blunt was rumored to be up for a role which sounded extremely similar to the one Rose Byrne now has. Blunt may have been bumped for Byrne.
