Worried that Michael Bay may botch the upcoming Transformers movie? Now's your chance to save it. Or save a few seconds of it anyway. Over on the movie's official site they're running a contest to see which Transformer fan can come up with the best Optimus Prime line for the film. If they pick yours, Optimus will say your line in the movie.

Of course the obvious joke here is that the script's so bad now they're having to turn to fans in order to write the movie. The sad thing is, from what I've heard of the screenplay, that may not be far from the truth.

Whether the movie's good or not though, this is a dream come true for fans of giant freakin transforming robots. As movie promotions go, this one seems like a lot of fun, except the cynic in me wonders if they plan to pick the winner based on whoever happens to hit on a line they already have in the script. You'll never know the difference.

While the first place winner will have his line in the movie, they'll pick nine other lines as well, have them read by the one and only voice of Optimus Peter Cullen, and then make them available on the movie website. Even a fifth place finish would be pretty cool.
