I still can’t believe they’re actually calling the 22nd James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. If anyone over at Columbia Pictures has even a quantum of sense, they’ll put a stop to this before such a soft, silly name ends up on a James Bond movie poster. It sounds like the name of “Back to Go” card from the board game Solar Quest. Solar Quest? Anyone?
So the name may be dumb, but even with a dumb name Bond is cool. Along with releasing the movie’s name today, Columbia Pictures released a plot synopsis for it (read it here), and a bunch of great cast photos as well. Some of the pics are simple headshots, others appear to be actual stills from the film itself. Check them all out in our high-res Quantum of Solace photo gallery by clicking on one of the thumbnails below:

The title might sound dumb, but before calling it dumb one should do some research.
Quantum Of Solace is jargon that is often used in government circles with regards to classified information. The title was chosen from a short story in Ian Fleming's For Your Eyes Only novel. Considering that they have already made every one of his books into a movie it mught be though to come up with a new name that relates to Ian and the story of the film.
