RED Scribes Hired To Rewrite The Script For Sam Worthington's Man On A Ledge![]()
Last month, Sam Worthington was faced with a choice. He could have either gone toe-to-toe with Chris Pine in McG's This Means War or distracted the police from a diamond heist in Man On A Ledge. But with Tom Hardy now secure in the McG film, it seems as though Worthington's choice has been made for him and now writers have been brought on to write the script.
THR reports that Erich and Jon Hoeber, who recently scripted the upcoming comic-book adaptation RED, with Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman, have been hired to rewrite the script for Man On A Ledge. Director Asger Leth is currently in negotiations to direct with Lorenzo di Bonaventura to produce. The Hoeber brothers also recently wrote the script for Peter Berg's Battleship. RED received a huge response from the attendees of this year's Comic Con and the first two trailers have been dynamite, so it's possible that the Hoebers are talent we should be looking out for. Then again, they are also the writers who brought us Kate Beckinsale's Whiteout, so who the hell knows. A well-made heist film can be one of the most rewarding film-going experiences, but it's also a genre that is tremendously easy to screw up. Let's hope this one ends up in the former category. |
