At this point there are plenty of things we don't know about Spider-Man 4-- who will be the villain, for instance, or which actor will play him. But Sam Raimi knows one thing for sure, and that's how to treat one of his oldest friends and his filmmaking muse. So when MTV asked him recently about Bruce Campbell's potential role in Spider-Man 4, he had a big promise to make.

""I promised him we would write something because I really love putting him in the pictures. I promised him a good, meaty role."

So this means we'll see something beyond just a cameo for the silliest actor in the world? Sounds great to me. There's been speculation that Campbell might make it up to main villain status, but Raimi can neither confirm nor deny for a good reason: "I don't even know what it is yet." He'd better start figuring things out soon, though-- production is apparently slated to start in the spring.
