The really strange thing about Hollywood right now is that they don’t actually want anyone to see their movie trailers. They’re supposed to be advertisements to promote their movies, so you’d think they’d be happy for them to be as widely distributed and seen as possible, but like just about everything else on the internet they’re more interested in using them as a tool to control free speech and pile on more censorship.

That has nothing to do with this story really, but when I found this new Red Band trailer for Good Luck Chuck at Slashfilm I also found a report from them on a recent encounter with the MPAA in which they were forced to take down other trailers from their site over a bunch of bullshit posturing. Meanwhile this morning, Paramount is running around sending threatening cease and desist letters to anyone who has even mentioned that their Cloverfield trailer exists online. That’s right, they’re not attacking the people actually hosting the trailer, instead they’re going after the people talking about it. Yes, Hollywood doesn’t want you to see their movie trailers.

They probably don’t want you to see this trailer either, but you want to see it, so here it is: A new red band trailer for the Jessica Alba/Dane Cook sex comedy Good Luck Chuck. No, there’s no nudity in it. There is one “F” word however, which is probably why the MPAA fascists red banded it.

Please Hollywood, don’t sue me, bankrupt me, and put me out of business for promoting your movie. Not in the face. Check it out here.
