Red-Band Neighbors 2 Trailer Loads Up On Sex, Swears, And Half-Naked Zac Efron

If there was a rule book that covered the guidelines sequels adhere to, right at the top of the list would be the time tested adage, "go bigger." So naturally, the new red-band trailer for Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising has taken that advice to heart, and it looks like it's done it right! Watch the new trailer below, and judge for yourself.

Everything's bigger in the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising trailer! The blunts are bigger, the stakes are bigger, and even Zac Efron's abs look a little bit bigger. Though, that could be because of the sequence where he's thrusting them towards the camera during a crowd-pleasing dance. Comedy Central released this brand new red-band trailer earlier today, and while it looks like the next installment is treading some familiar ground, it's doing so with as much style and humor as the first film brought to audiences in 2014.

With the events of Neighbors still fresh in the mind of Seth Rogen's Mac and Rose Byrne's Kelly, the last thing either party wants is for another group of rowdy kids moving in next door to their soon-to-be sold house. But as any one who's seen a comedy sequel will tell you, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising isn't going to let the Radner couple get away with a clean and easy move. The big difference between their last scuffle and this new menace is the fact that Zac Efron's Teddy is on the side of good. Armed with the enemy of their enemy, the gang is ready to help take on Shelby (Chloe Grace-Moretz) and her house of hellions who've just taken up residence next door.

Thankfully, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising looks like it's still got some new gags, and new cameos, to show off in the brand new sequel. One particular moment that has us interested is the one where L.L. Cool J discovers on-screen daughter Kiersey Clemmons' sex toy collection. Something tells us that this is one of those scenes where the Blu-ray is begging for a clip reel from the various improvised scenarios played out in this one instance. Also, the fact that L.L. Cool J is now officially playing the concerned dad still has us laughing, if only because he does it exceedingly well.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising looks like it's taken the ball and ran with it, so it's only natural that we're intrigued to see if the film delivers or falls short of the high bar. Time will tell, as the film is slated for a May 20th, 2016 release date – just in time to take on The Nice Guys and The Angry Birds Movie.
