If you don’t know the name Diablo Cody yet, get ready to hear a lot of it. She’s Hollywood’s hot new writer, and she’s getting the kind of attention normally reserved only for supermodels. Well, she's and ex-stripper, so I guess there’s some similarity. I mean, they both walk runways right? Like a pole makes all that much difference. Anyway, Entertainment Weekly has done a massive feature piece on her this week and this entertainment reporter turned stripper turned novelist turned screenwriter seems destined for great things.

I’ve already pronounced my borderline creepy/weird love/loathing for Diablo here, and I haven’t seen her movie. She wrote the upcoming flick Juno, which is getting rave reviews, and she’s already written another movie called Jennifer’s Body, which Megan Fox is set to strut her stuff in for Fox Atomic.

To make Jennifer’s Body happen, HR says Fox Atomic is bringing the entire Juno team back together. Jason Reitman directed Juno, and now Fox has hired him and his producing partner to produce Jennifer’s Body. Apparently Reitman is wild about Cody, and when he first read her script for Juno, he immediately dropped everything he was doing, including a script of his own devising, to shoot her movie.

Jennifer’s Body though, is a total about face from Juno. Juno is a sarcastic comedy about a pregnant teenager. Body is more of a horror movie, the story of a teenager possessed by a demon and feeding on the bodies of horny boys in a Minnesota farm town. Quite an about face, but Diablo Cody is the kind of gal who loves stripping, horror movies, science fiction, and Judd Apatow. Horny, killer teenagers are probably right up her alley. Come on, she calls herself Diablo. Satan’s obviously a big part of her life. Admit it, if you could be her, you’d be happy to have him as a part of yours too.
