In recent years Bill Murray has gotten a reputation for being a bit difficult to work with. Some directors have talked about not even knowing whether the actor would be showing up to film their movie until Murray arrived on set. At the same time, the actor has been doing some of the best work of his life in those same years, so perhaps a little bit of difficulty is worth the trouble.
One director who doesn’t seem to be having these problems with Murray is Jim Jarmusch, who has already worked with Murray twice, on the acclaimed Broken Glass and Coffee and Cigarettes. Now the duo will be teaming up again for a third picture, according to Reuters.
Murray will appear in Jarmusch’s upcoming picture The Limits of Control, a road thriller that will also feature Tilda Swinton (who also appeared in Broken Flowers) and Gael Garcia Bernal. The movie will tell the story of a mysterious loner who is attempting to finish a criminal job. Pretty vague description, but that just leaves me curious about what Jarmusch will be coming up with for the picture.
The Limits of Control will film in Madrid, Seville, and Almeria, and, like Jarmusch’s previous releases, will be released by Focus Features.
