Return Of The Man Eating Croc

By Jason Morgan: 2007-02-26 10:42:59
Return Of The Man Eating Croc Don’t be fooled! Despite having a lame plot and horrendous effects, Primeval was not a sequel to 1999’s Lake Placid (perhaps only in spirit). The actual sequel, Lake Placid 2, is taking the more humble direct-to-SciFi Channel approach, Moviehole.net reports.

“Seven years later, the baby crocs have all grown up and now the little town of Lake Placid has a whole new set of problems,” said director Dave Flores. “My first movie, Boa Vs Python, got great ratings on its premier and continues to this day for the Scifi network. SciFi and Fox wanted to partner up on the sequel to Lake Placid, and I was brought on because of my success with the comedy/creature genre.”

Although the principle photography, which started last year in Bulgaria, recently wrapped, but a cable TV premier date has yet to be determined. Rest assured that if you happen to miss the SciFi debut (though I don’t see how that is possible), the DVD from Fox will hit the streets shortly thereafter. To tide you over, here are some stills of scared actors and an old woman who loves sharp hand tools.
