Cemetary Junction will own. There are just some movies that you can come to an opinion on before they even come close to hitting the theater. Everyone knew Dance Flick would suck. Everyone knew The Dark Knight would rule. Maybe everyone in the states doesn’t know it, but Cemetary Junction is one of those movies. And the reason its quality is guaranteed is because Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are involved, the brains behind british version ofThe Office and Extras.

The flick just began shooting a couple of weeks ago, but we’re lucky enough to watch Ricky work through production as he blogs on his official website. On RickyGervais.com, Ricky has talked about many aspects of filming including the rating he believes the movie will get (“It looks like we'll get our 15 certificate, which is great as we were worried it might be an 18. It's definitely an R in the US but that's fine.”) and his pasty complexion versus a cloudy day (“It was an overcast day today with scattered showers…Guess what. I got sunburn. Brilliant.”).

The site also includes many pictures from the shoot, as well as technical insights from Gervais, something you wouldn’t expect from a guy that usually spews out nothing but brilliant one-liners.

For those that don’t know, Cemetary Junction (Co-written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant) follows three blue-collar friends Freddie, Bruce and Snork. When Freddie meets an old high school sweetheart, choices must be made, and things change for everyone. Catch a couple of set pictures below and head to Ricky’s site for more!
