Rise Of The Guardians International Trailer Focuses On Heroes And Humor

Headed into theaters late next month is Rise of the Guardians, DreamWorks' animated epic adventure that features a number of classic characters who assemble to protect the children of the world from a dark force. The previously released trailers have given us a general idea of how the characters are brought together and what they're up against as the villainous Pitch threatens to take over the world. The international trailer for Rise of the Guardians gets right to the point, introducing us to the characters and throwing a few humorous moments in at the end.

As you'll see in the trailer (via ComingSoon) the assembled group of heroes consists of the Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman), Sandman (he doesn't have a voice), the Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher), Jack Frost (Chris Pine) and Santa (Alec Baldwin).

We get a glimpse of Pitch (Jude Law) in the trailer, but the focus is on the heroes, and the humor. It also plays up the super-hero nature of the story with the character introductions. DreamWorks has had plenty of success with hero stories in the past, with How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda and Shrek among their list of films. Rise of the Guardians looks like it's following in their footsteps (or in Hiccup and Toothless' case, their flightpaths), which should likely appeal to Dreamworks' fans.

Rise of the Guardians releases November 21. More information, photos and videos can be found in our Blend Film Database.
