Rob Zombie Makes A Dirty Cartoon![]()
I have to admit, I’m not much of a fan of Rob Zombie. This weekend’s remake of Halloween will the the first of his movies I’ll subject my self to, and that’s only because I have to. As a filmmaker, Zombie hasn’t really carried much in the way of credibility, so what’s a filmmaker to do? How about move to animation.
Fans of Zombie (which, as I said, I am not) have been aware of the director’s animated endeavor The Haunted World of El Superbeasto for some time now. Zombie told MTV Movie Blog that the “superhero monster sex comedy” is finally finished. He has a pretty high opinion of the movie as well, calling it “hilarious.” At the same time, Zombie also talks about some friends he showed it to. Their reaction: wondering who is ever going to watch this movie. Yup, Zombie’s own friends watched the animated film in disbelieve that the movie even existed. There’s a vote of confidence. If Zombie’s friends are that enthusiastic about it, I think I can wait to see The Haunted World until… well, never. So, if you’re a Zombie fan, his little “filthy animated adult movie” is coming soon. If you’re not… well, the world goes on, just with one more picture to avoid in it. Who knows, The Haunted World might be the next Heavy Metal, or Zombie might just do the same thing to animation he did to film with House of 1000 Corpses. |
