Robert Pattinson may be lined up for numerous Twilight sequels, staying firmly entrenched in the franchise that has propelled him into stardom, but he’s not limiting himself to just playing a vampire over the next couple of years. The actor is in talks to sign on for another Summit Pictures project. Of course, the new project will put him in the role of another heartthrob type role, but it is something a bit different.

Of course, the article from Hollywood Reporter reveals that much about the new movie, titled Memoirs is up in the air. The movie, which focuses on two lovers in a time of personal tragedy, is currently under consideration by director Alan Coulter (Hollywoodland), although nothing is set yet. So, no star and no director for Memoirs yet.

I find it curious that Pattinson is looking at doing another picture with Summit, which isn’t a studio that cranks out a ton of productions. Are we looking at a return to the old studio system, where stars kept loyalties to one specific studio, or is this just a matter of Pattinson finding out about the project because he’s already in the Summit doors?
