There are some movies that would do just fine making a release date a year from now, even if they're only just beginning production. But a futuristic crime thriller doesn't really seem like one of them. Still, that won't deter Robert Rodriguez, who's planning to write and direct Nerverackers for an April 16, 2010 release date.

Variety writes that it'll be a reunion for Rodriguez and Dimension, which released Sin City, Grindhouse and, how can we forget, the Spy Kids franchise. No telling what this means for the gazillion other projects Rodriguez has in development, from a Sin City sequel to a Predator reboot. Maybe it's best, actually, that he focus on something new, rather than remake stuff that might be better left alone.
