With Schwarzenegger locked into politics, it seems like the new default rumor when the subject of a sequel to one of his classic films pops up is that he'll be replaced by Sylvester Stallone. Personally, I think Sly's behind them, not because he needs the work but because he's in full-on self-promotion mode with his new Rocky movie coming up. So read the following rumor with that in mind.

Filmstalker has dug up a story at IESB which says that new Predator film could be in the works. Their scooper says that they'll be starting on it soon, and before they do they're trying to lure Stallone into doing battle with the new Predator.

I say forget it. Neither Arnie nor Sly should be anywhere near an action movie at their age. It's a miracle that Arnold looked as good as he did in Terminator 3, and Stallone will be lucky to pull off being Rocky again. Let's leave the old men of muscles behind with that. They'll both have said their goodbyes, and that's good enough. If we must have new Predator, Rambo or Running Man movies find someone else. Get Vin Diesel or Dwayne Johnson and move the heck on.
