The Rolling Stones are about to become an animated movie. Mick has just signed a deal with EuropaCorp to let them turn the band into a cartoon. The movie will be called Ruby Tuesday, and Mick's co-producing it through his Jagged Films production company according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film isn't exactly about the band. It's really the story of a single mom, living in New York and looking for happiness. Obviously though, the title is drawn from a Rolling Stones song and not the sub-par bar and grill restaurant blighting the landscape in major cities of the U.S. They're music will also be used in the film and they'll reportedly show up in it as animated characters.
Ruby Tuesday is being directed by helmers Paul and Gaetan Brizzi, who some might recognize from their work on Fantasia 2000 and Asterix vs. Ceasar.
