In case you were living under a rock or other large object, you'd know that 76-year-old Roman Polanski is in a Swiss jail awaiting trail for those little unlawful sex with a minor charges from 1978 he ran away from long ago. Hell, that whole story is a movie in itself.

Anyway, we've been hearing about his new film The Ghost off and on for the past year or so. Well now, it appears it will be finished by Polanski... in jail. Aceshowbiz reports he's already given instructions on the film's score... so I think it's good to go. But here's hoping there aren't any reshoots.

Exactly how Polanski is communicating with composer Alexandre Desplat or the rest of the post-production staff isn't clear, not even to the film's screenwriter Robert Harris.

"He can make his wishes known from his cell. I don't think he can make phone calls, but he can communicate. What people think of the film is another matter. Whether the film can rise above the circumstances in which the director now finds himself I don't know. We will test to the upper limits the notion that there's no such thing as bad publicity."

The movie staring Pierce Brosnan, Ewan McGregor, and Kim Cattrall is scheduled for a screening at the Berlin Film Festival this February... but from the looks of it, Roman won't be there to see it.
