Ron Perlman Joins The Cast Of Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive![]()
If you've been following the cast build up for Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive, you've been witnessing something pretty incredible. In addition to the duo at the top of the cast, Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan, the project has managed to collect an awesome list of supporting stars including Albert Brooks, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston and, most recently, Christina Hendricks. Now another fantastic name has been added to the cast.
Screen Daily reports that Ron Perlman has joined Winding Refn's cast. Announced at the Toronto International Film Festival, it's unknown what role Perlman will play. In the film, based on the book by James Sallis, Gosling plays a stuntman who moonlights as a getaway driver, but finds himself in trouble when he decides to help the ex-con boyfriend of his beautiful neighbor, played by Mulligan. Perlman is one of the most tough-as-nails actors around and this sounds like a film that will put him in his natural element. I just hope that, for Gosling's sake, he doesn't end up playing the ex-con boyfriend. When you're going after a girl's heart, it's usually easier when her boyfriend isn't Hellboy. |
