I’m not sure what it says about a movie when you have to tack a cheap contest on to the end of your trailer just to encourage people to watch it, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t say anything good. That’s the case with the first legitimate trailer for Rush Hour 3, which offers you a chance to win tickets to see the movie, if you make it all the way through the entire trailer.

I’m not sure why they needed to do that, because it’s really not such a bad trailer. Tucker and Chan are back together, and this time Jackie Chan is scoping out hotel room pay-per-view porn. Wow that’s kind of an unexpected left turn for the franchise, isn’t it?

The other thing to take from this trailer is that it’s the kind of movie where the black male lead goes to France and manages to find the only black French woman in Paris to make out with. Note to Hollywood: Captain Kirk made out with Lt. Uhura nearly fifty years ago. It’s alright to show mixed race macking on screen now.
