The Dwayne Johnson people-driving-cars-fast project Faster had been building itself a whole collection of hot ladies to entertain the male audience, including Moon Bloodgood, Maggie Grace and Salma Hayek. But now they'll have to move forward without Hayek-- Deadline Hollywood is reporting that she's has dropped out of the project, which starts filming February 8.

The article hints at scheduling delays as the reason for Hayek bailing, but no matter how you look at it, she's put them in a tight spot. It seems inevitable that they'll have to replace Hayek with someone less famous and cheaper, since getting a major star-- and a Latina major star at that-- at the last minute can be tricky. Unless Penelope Cruz is available and somehow interested, it's time for a lesser-known actress to take Hayek's spot. We'll let you know who that person turns out to be.
