Samuel L. Jackson is playing yet another cop. These things seem to come in waves for him. For awhile he played nothing but hitmen. Now whether he’s fighting snakes or white neighbors, he always seems to end up wearing a badge.

Variety says he’s co-starring in an indie police thriller for Phillip Noyce called Mixed Blood. In it, a fugitive is “forced to make violent and terrifying choices to protect his family”. Pretty vague. Apparently they’re being hunted by murders, kidnappers, corrupt cops, and Samuel L. Jackson who plays a police detective in the film. No word yet on the movie’s lead, but they’re shooting next year.
