In the last eight years, Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison production company has seemed determined to flood the film market with two to three forgettable below average comedies a year. They have diverted from this strategy of mediocrity only a few times to produce the egregiously horrible films The Hot Chick, Little Nicky, and the Deuce Bigalows.
The Hollywood Reporter has announced Happy Madison’s next film. The new comedy, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, will feature Sandler as a Mossad agent who fakes his own death in an attempt to follow his dreams of being a hairstylist. At least they’re finally attempting to tackle important issues.
Sandler buddy and unfunny dimwit Rob Schneider has also signed on. He will play a cab driver of East Yistannen origins. I will bet anyone five dollars that he will utter the phrase, “You Can Do It,” at some point in the movie.
Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy director Dennis Dugan has been taped to work behind the camera. Dugan recently finished directing Sandler and friends in the soon to be released I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry.
You Don’t Mess With The Zohan which was co-written by Forty Year Old Virgin genius Judd Apatow should be out sometime next summer.
