Sandler Clicks With Cast![]()
Contrary to popular opinion, Adam Sandler is no fool. He may flail around on screen while screaming at the top of his lungs and behaving like he's still in diapers, but he understands the ingredients for a long lasting career in Hollywood: Cheap jokes, and hot babes.
According to MovieWeb, his latest project is called Click, financed by Columbia/Revolution studios. In the story, Sandler plays a workaholic architect who discovers a remote control that enables him to rewind and fast forward to different phases in his life. It may sound too good to be true, but complications arise when the remote takes on a life of its own. Sounds like that "Twilight Zone" episode where the guy had a stopwatch that could pause time at his convenience, and then it ended up freezing for all eternity. Of course, nothing could come close to paralleling the genius of that show, so instead we'll have to settle for a lame knock-off about appliances gone wild. Former Miss-Universe Jennifer Hawkins may be joining the cast, if it coincides with her schedule. "I love Adam Sandler, I think he's hilarious" she told the Sunday Telegraph. "The fact that he wants me in his new movie is totally unbelievable." Already onboard are Kate Beckinsale, Christopher Walken, and David Hasselhoff. Frank Coraci is directing, and Tim Herlihy is rewriting a script by Mark O'Keefe and Steven Wayne. Click will hit theaters in 2006. |
