Adam Sandler’s production company Happy Madison is branching out from comedies to horror movies, so why does their first project seem like it has comedic potential?

The movie is Shortcut, and Variety says it’ll be made by a company called Scary Madison, which will be the name Happy Madison goes under when they’re trying to scare the pants off you. Shortcut will be about two brothers who take a shortcut, and then wish they hadn’t. Come on, that could be funny! It won’t be, but it could be! I’d love to see Sandler in a horror comedy. He can’t possibly be worse than the Wayans.

Sadly the movie will neither be funny nor star the Sandman. He’s just serving as an executive producer. A group of actors who you’ve never heard of, named Andrew Seeley, Shannon Woodward, and Dave Franco (recently seen in the groundbreaking instructional videos "Acting With James Franco") will star. You’ve never heard of them, but they’re all the good looking under 30 types which any good horror project needs. Sounds like Scary Madison is off to a great start.
