Seann William Scott And Liev Schrieber Get Bloody In First Goon Character Posters

When you consider the fact that Michael Dowse's Goon is about a team 0f muscle headed hockey players who enjoy beating the crap out of their opponents, it becomes obvious that the film will probably include a lot of blood, chipped teeth, and bruises. So why not include those aspects in the marketing?

The first two character posters for the hockey comedy featuring Liev Schrieber and Seann William Scott have premiered and they look a bit worse for wear. Easily my favorite part about these posters is that they don't show any hockey pucks or sticks - just a little bit of uniform - but you automatically know that this is a movie set in an ice rink. Check out the one-sheets below or full size over on JoBlo.

The story follows a bouncer who is rejected by his intellectual-filled family. He then decides to join up with a semi-pro hockey team filled with misfits like himself and they work to win the local championship. Based on the novel by Doug Smith and Adam Frattasio, the script was written by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg. In addition to Scott and Schrieber, the cast also includes Baruchel, Alison Pill, Kim Coates, and Eugene Levy. The film does not yet have an official release date.
