Of course, his interview style isn’t very fair. He asks people questions knowing how they’ll answer, and then acts incredulous when they say exactly what he expected them to. On the other hand, the people he’s interviewing do have free will, and they don’t have to say something stupid for him to react to. Unless of course, you’re a US Senator like the guy in this clip, and you want to pander to your constituents. Somehow though, I doubt even Maher expected a Senator to admit he’s an idiot.
