Last week Yahoo! Movies gave us a brief introduction to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time followed by an intense looks at all of the behind-the-scenes action, which, of course, features an unbelievably ripped Jake Gyllenhaal. Walt Disney Pictures (via Coming Soon) has just released a second featurette that still has some eye candy (Gyllenhaal for the ladies, battles for the men), but pays more attention to explaining some of the details of the plot, particularly the legendary dagger.

The Prince of Persia trailer didn’t thrill me. It wasn’t terrible, but I figured Clash of the Titans will be enough epic adventure for me. But, the more I see from Prince of Persia and the more I learn about what’s actually going on, the better it looks. Who knows? By May 28th, 2010 I might actually have seen and enjoyed two fantasy battle-heavy films. I hope that’s the case for Gyllenhaal’s sake. Wouldn’t it suck to work so hard to bulk up for a so-so movie?
