It's remarkable how quickly Jim Carrey went from one of the hottest comedians in movies to an almost-forgotten figure of the past, but Carrey is refusing to go down without a fight. He's starring in Yes Man this December, the kind of comedy he excelled at in the 90s-- he takes center stage as a guy who says no to everything, until he suddenly has no choice but to say "yes."
It seems mostly like a spin on Liar, Liar, except seemingly without the overly sweet family values morals. Not a bad thing, really. There's a second trailer for the movie available from Yahoo! Movies, but there's virtually no new content in it. The trailer is identical for the first minute and a half, and in the last 20 seconds or so we see a handful of new scenes. Does this mean there's not actually enough funny stuff in the movie to make up two trailers? Or are the people in the promotional department just not on the ball?
I spent so much of my childhood adoring Jim Carrey that I can't help but be a little bit excited about what looks like a return to form for him. But at the same time, is another standard Carrey comedy what we need? Check out the trailer below and see if you can work up some enthusiasm.

I think the trailers look great! Jim Carrey has really never put out a bomb of a comedy (yes, even The Cable Guy did OK and not as bad as people claim), so I would expect this to make at least $100 million at the box office if not more. I'm seeing commercials for it all over the place on TV and it's over 2 months before the release date!
As for the lack of new content in the latest trailer... I'm hoping they're deciding to keep some parts a surprise so people don't see the movie and say "well that sucked, all the best parts were in the trailer."

This looks atrocious.
HEHEHE HE TALKS IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE AND MOVES HIS MOUTH FUNNY WHILE HE DOES IT!
Maybe it's just the person that pieced the trailer together (hopefully) but gosh, this is bad.
