Adam Sandler’s next movie is a really strange sounding project called You Don’t Mess With Zohan. In it, he plays an Israeli commando who fakes his own death so he can start a new life in New York City as a hair stylist. I guess the Mossad doesn’t allow early retirement, at least not while you’re breathing.
Sandler co-wrote it with the great Judd Apatow, which could mean we’re looking at something more than the usual Happy Madison extended excuse for a Rob Schneider. With a concept like that, it’s already set itself apart from their usual sports movie stuff.
Zohan is currently filming, and this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly has the first picture we’ve seen from the set. So, if you’ve been wondering what Adam Sandler would look like as an Israeli commando hair stylist, well here’s your answer. We’ve scanned the picture and dropped it for you below. Enjoy Adam in all his car-surfing, middle eastern glory, and watch for Zohan in theaters June 6, 2008.
