Most of the photos from the Dark Knight Rises set have been variations on a theme, as we see repeated looks at a giant fight scene that involves Bane, Batman, Catwoman on a Batpod, a ton of extras and a lot of fake snow. Thankfully there's the occasional Dinosaur Batman or Catwoman camera crash to keep things interesting-- and now we can add to that list "Giant Potholes That Swallow The Bat Tumbler Whole."

I'm not really sure what's going on in the new set photo snagged by Superhero Hype-- the production team apparently asked fans to put away their cameras for the action that happens before and after-- but in the image below you can clearly see the Bat Tumbler sunk down into the street, as if it's sinking in quicksand or one of the dinosaurs trapped forever in the La Brea tar pits. It's really a sight to behold.



Did Bane use his unusual strength to throw the whole damn thing into the street? Have underground villains rise up and taken Batman and his fancy vehicle down into their underworld? Is the Gotham municipal department just really, really behind on fixing their potholes? Feel free to speculate in the comments-- as with everything involved in The Dark Knight Rises, we're not gonna get answers for a long, long time.
