It’s gotten to the point where just seeing the name of Tom Cruise’s upcoming movie Valkyrie in print is enough to cause a major power down. Sure it’s directed by the usually awesome Bryan Singer, but the whole controversy over whether he’d be allowed to shoot in Germany was sucked up by the tabloids and the movie has been over-exposed beyond all reason before it’s even begun shooting.
However it has begun shooting anyway and United Artists says they started putting picture to film today in Berlin. To prove the point, they released the two stills, comparing Cruise to Stauffenberg, the real life German officer who led a daring (and failed) attempt to assassinate Hitler in 1944. Both stills are below this text. To the right though, you’ll find a small version of a pic found on RopeofSilicon showing Cruise in his full on Hitler hunting regalia. Click over to RopeofSilicon to see it in high res.
