Nobody really knows what Zack Snyder looks like-- I've seen the guy in person, and I probably could not tell him, McG and Brett Ratner apart. So when Snyder pops his head into Watchmen for a brief cameo, it's not going to take anyone out of the world, or grab any attention at all, really.

So now's the time for Snyder to have his "Hey, it's that guy!" moment, with Slashfilm having posted a still from the movie that features Snyder in military fatigues. He'll be holding a gun and looking menacing in the background in a scene in which the Comedian guns down some Vietnamese soldiers.

I guess it's better than if he'd airbrushed on some abs and popped up somewhere in 300 (though I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case after all). I'll keep an eye out for Snyder, but really, I hope the movie is so engaging that I'll have forgotten all about this cameo by the time this scene comes around.
