The more I see of Semi-Pro the less I like it. The first teaser trailer for instance, was hilarious. That long, lingering, slow, shot over Will’s typically disgusting body clad in short-shorts and white knee socks made me laugh. The second trailer… looked like he was still making Blades of Glory.
The first teaser poster was great. A rear-side shot of nothing but Will Ferrell’s fro-clad head. Attention getting, creative. What’s not to like? The movie’s second poster… looks like it was cobbled together out of leftover marketing materials from Starsky & Hutch. Though I do like the fur coat Ferrell.
