Sex And The City Movie Back On?![]()
A movie version of the popular former television show ‘Sex and the City’ is an idea that’s been ping-ponging around Hollywood almost since the moment the show went off the air. Nothing has ever come of it, but MTV says the movie now has a director.
Rumor has it that Michael Patrick King is set to direct a feature film version of the show. King, wrote and directed several episodes of the TV series as well serving as an executive producer during its run. He won an Emmy for his work on ‘Sex’, but he’s never done anything in movies till now. Sex and the City: The Movie will be his theatrical writing and directorial debut. The thing is, though they say the film is scheduled to start shooting this fall, they have none of the television show’s stars signed up to be in it. Without Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda they have nothing, and those four have proven notoriously tough to get together in the past. King may be ready to go on a movie, but don’t buy your tickets yet. Sex and the City: The Movie may soon be headed right back to development hell. |
