It’s no secret that Warner Bros. has been interested in doing a Sex and the City sequel, almost since the first moment those hefty, estrogen-powered box office receipts started rolling in. Now it looks like their interest has turned into certainty, and they’re doing not just a sequel, but maybe sequels.
The news comes straight from the mouths of Sex helmer Michael Patrick King and his star Sarah Jessica Parker. Fox News caught them at a DVD release party, where they confirmed that a sequel was happening. In fact, King is already on his way to start writing it.
King also joked that he’s thinking of doing an animated version as well, while author Candace Bushnell revealed, less jokingly, that she’s working on writing a Sex and the City prequel. Sex and the City: The College Years? I'd wager that it’s only a matter of time before that becomes a movie too.
