It may be tough to pronounce the name Maggie Gyllenhaal—or spell it, for that matter—but she’s worth the effort. The on-the-rise actress is enhancing her skills and finally getting some love. Soon enough, people will be asking: Jake, who?

Okay, maybe not, but at least he won’t be the only one getting all of the attention. According to Palm Beach Post Entertainment, Maggie scooped up the best actress award at the 17th annual Stockholm International Film Festival, for her lead role in the indie flick Sherrybaby. The film itself also won for best picture.

Critics everywhere have been raving about Maggie’s performance in this movie, so it’s great that she got a prize for it. Sherrybaby is about a drug-addicted woman who is released from prison and tries, often unsuccessfully, to reconnect with her young daughter. In addition to best actress and best picture, director Laurie Collyer won the Bronze Horse award for “a pure and heartbreaking work about survival and dignity."

Sherrybaby didn’t dominate the show, though—Ryan Nelson won the best actor award for Half Nelson, where he plays…a drug-addicted teacher. Hmmm, are we detecting a pattern here?

The festival wrapped up on Sunday, and featured 170 films from nearly 40 countries.
