Shia LaBeouf Is On The Hunt For Robert Redford In New The Company You Keep Stills
For The Company You Keep, Robert Redford has once again brought together an absolutely stellar cast. While this is not unusual behavior for the filmmaker, whose last film, The Conspirator, featured just about every name in Hollywood from James McAvoy to Justin Long, his next may even top that, with names like Shia LaBeouf, Brit Marling, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Brendan Gleeson, Terrence Howard, Richard Jenkins, Anna Kendrick, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Chris Cooper, Susan Sarandon, and Stephen Root all playing roles. It will make the film that much easier to market as we get closer to the release date, as proven by the first three official stills
Voltage Pictures has released the new images from the moviie, and while they obviously can't pack in all of the aforementioned stars, they have included the main three, including LaBeouf, Marling and Redford himself. There isn't exactly a great deal of action in the shots, but it is interesting to see LaBeouf's new look for the movie, which involves a shaggy haircut, glasses and an nice five o'clock shadow. Check out the images below.
Based on the novel by Neil Gordon, the story follows a young journalist (LaBeouf) named Ben Shepard who is looking to make a name for himself, and that opportunity presents itself when he meets Jim Grant (Redford). As it turns out, Grant is actually a former member of the Weather Underground, a radical activist group from the 1970s, and has been on the run from the FBI for decades. Lem Dobbs, who is best known for writing movies like The Limey, The Score, Haywire and Dark City, scripted the adaptation. The Company You Keep does not currently have a release date.
