Shocking New Poster For Crank: High Voltage A new poster has emerged for Jason Statham’s upcoming Crank: High Voltage, which hits theaters April 17th. The promotional imagery (shown below) continues to play with the movie’s “High Voltage” subtitle, this time showing Statham about to give himself a jump start courtesy of a jumper cable attached to his tongue - a cringeworthy thought.

I like this new image, if for no other reason than it finally shows a different expression on Statham’s face. Almost every other promotional picture released has Statham with a stern, focused look, designed to strike terror into the people his character is coming after, no doubt. Here the expression is a bit different - almost one of terror as he sparks himself.

I want to be excited about another Statham action flick, particularly one that isn’t a Transporter picture (nothing against The Transporter, it’s just nice to see the actor do something different), but Crank: High Voltage really hasn’t done much to get me excited. Sure, there was that briefly leaked F-bomb “trailer,” but I can’t say Crank 2 is really staying on my radar in between these kinds of things. This poster, as nice as it is to see a different expression on Statham’s face, doesn’t change that.
