New Shots From The Set Of RoboCop Arrive
Author: Eric Eisenberg | published: 2012-09-18 21:35:36
This past weekend we got our first look at Joel Kinnaman as a cyborg in the upcoming remake of Paul Verhoven's RoboCop, which is being directed by Brazilian helmer Jose Padilha. The film has been in production for only about a week now, but already photographers have managed to get through security and have snapped pictures of a couple things we can expect from the movie.
Just Jared has posted a bunch of shots from the set that include things like more of the central character, cop cars, motorcycles and female lead Abbie Cornish. It would seem that none of the other big names involved in the film, including Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Jackie Earle Haley, were on set that day, and if they were they were well hidden. Check out the shots below.
RoboCop stars Kinnaman as Alex Murphy, a street cop living in Detroit who is killed in the line of duty. Seeing an opportunity, OmniCorp, a conglomorate developing new technologies for law enforcement, jumps into action and turn Murphy into RoboCop, a crime fighting cyborg. Also set to star in the movie are Jay Baruchel, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Once the film is completed Columbia Pictures will deliver it to theaters on August 9, 2013. For more about the movie head over to our Blend Film Database.
