Shots Of The New Wayne Manor From The Dark Knight Rises
While there isn't much to complain about in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight, one key element of Batman lore was missing for the film's entire run-time: Wayne Manor. Burned to the ground by Ra's al Ghul and the League of Shadows in Batman Begins, the comic's most famous estate was not featured in the superhero sequel, as Bruce and Alfred lived in a penthouse suite while the house was being rebuilt. Fortunately it seems that the contractor Bruce hired was reliable, because Wayne Manor is back in The Dark Knight Rises.
Batman-News has received a gallery of five new photos from the set of the next Caped Crusader movie, one of which shows off the incredible mansion in all of its glory. But while the return of Wayne Manor is exciting, the other shots are causing quite a bit of stir in the speculation department. Included on the grounds of the building is a graveyard where Thomas and Martha Wayne are buried, and there's rumblings that The Dark Knight Rises will include a classic scene from the comics in which Bruce visits his parents' graves. Then again, it's also possible that Nolan and crew just wants to make the estate as accurate as possible (the graveyard could be seen in Batman Begins as well). Check out some of the photos below or see them all full-size over on Batman-News.
