Excited about G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra? Only a little? OK, are you excited about seeing Sienna Miller in skintight leather, yelling commands at underlings and acting in general like a badass? Yeah, I thought that might pique your interest.
You can see plenty of that, plus Channing Tatum in a super-suit and the EIffel Tower collapsing in on itself, in the new footage from G.I. Joe that MTV debuted tonight before their movie awards. Possibly the best part is Miller's sarcastic line reading of the classic tagline "Real American heroes." Is that just an ironic nod to the movie's past and not at all representative of the film? Or maybe an indication that the film will be smarter than we're expecting? Hey, either way, this is the first time I've seriously wondered something about this movie, so that in itself is an accomplishment.
