Last week we brought you the story that Steven Spielberg may direct Jurassic Park IV himself if Joe Johnston doesn't want to do it. At the time it was just a rumor, a rumor that has since been debunked.

Spielberg's people have confirmed to SpielbergFilms that he will not direct Jurassic Park IV. So does that mean Joe Johnston is doing it? We don't know. No one does. Johnston has been offered a job helming the third Mummy movie, which might mean he won't have time in his schedule for more dinosaurs. But Johnston has yet to either accept or turn down the Mummy 3 gig. For now, Johnston remains the most likely candidate, but only time will tell.
