Spielberg's Next Project

Steven Spielberg keeps his calendar pretty full! With The Rivals and War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise already lined up, Spielberg has added a new project to begin filming this year!

The drama will take place during the aftermath of the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. The Munich Games were the tragic Olympics where eight terrorists took a group of Israeli athletes hostage. After the hostage standoff was over, all hostages were dead. It is assumed that the movie will be based on this tragedy.

Eric Roth wrote the script and Ben Kingsley has signed on to be the main star in the movie. The Dreamworks/Universal produced film is scheduled to begin in June.

I guess Steven Spielberg has to make more Jewish stories now to catch up with Mel Gibson. How long until we get Happy Harry Hannakuh?
